Fire at Lesbos refugee camp – the families left homeless again
25 Sep 2020
Earlier this month the largest refugee camp in Europe on the island of Lesbos burnt to the ground – leaving more than 12,000 people homeless.
The notoriously overcrowded Moria camp was known for its unsanitary conditions with some asylum seekers and refugees stuck there for months.
Now a new temporary camp has been built on the Greek island and the European Union has pledged to make the plight of refugees easier.
