Collecting personal information by Sri Lanka police is aimed at racial discrimination – Lawyer
Commenting on the police collection information on temporary residence in Colombo Attorney at Law and Editor of the theRepublic.lk Sanjaya Wilson Jayasekera says that “there is no power for Police to ask for your Racial Identity or Religion under Police Ordinance. This Form is patently racist and anti-democratic. It’s aimed at racial discrimination.”
