South Africa’s president pays tribute to Archbishop Desmond Tutu as his body is laid to rest
South Africa’s president paid tribute to the anti-apartheid campaigner Desmond Tutu at his state funeral in Cape Town today, describing him as the ‘the spiritual father of our new nation.’ The pared back ceremony was attended by 100 mourners and was broadcast earlier today. He died last Sunday, aged 90.
